A guide to the P&O Ventura

The P&O Ventura is one of the best known and most popular cruise ships currently offering holidays to various parts of the world selected as top tourist destinations. So you can visit a whole range of equally amazing islands around the Caribbean or check out the spectacular Norwegian fjords close up from the comfort of your own stateroom. The Ventura sets sail to the ever popular Canary Islands as well at various times throughout the year and a good portion of her cruises begin and end on the south coast of England and the port of Southampton.
In terms of the ship herself, she is one of the larger ships in the P&O Cruises fleet and families of all sizes and compositions are always very welcome and extremely well looked after. There are plenty of adventure zones created for children and for the more energetic adults on-board but there are a wide variety of areas crafted in the interest of offering more leisurely pursuits as well. There are all manner of cuisines available for guests to have a go at during their stay on-board with the White Room by celebrity chef Marco Pierre White among the undoubted highlights as far as food is concerned. There is also a theatre that doubles as a cinema, a casino, a spa with an 'endless' pool, squash courts, golf nets so you can practice your swing and an English pub so you can sample some ales.
As ever with P and O Cruises the standards of both accommodation and service on-board the Ventura are very high indeed and there are some excellent offers being made right now on the remaining few tours that the ship will be taking in 2012 and those set to take place in the first half of next year.
