Remember, you don't have to be the bride to want a romantic holiday, the mother of the bride or maid of honour may decide that all of this pre-wedding build up has got them in the mood for a loved up vacation for two!
1) Marrakech
Morocco's second largest city is a place full of colour, excitement and blazing hot sunshine. Those who fancy something a bit different to the usual Caribbean islands will love this North African paradise. There are numerous hotels in Marrakech that will offer you the most romantic of stays, exquisite dining and beautiful views. Take a trip to the famous markets or indulge in a  candlelit feast at Medina.

2) Istanbul
Those who would prefer a romantic getaway in Europe will find Istanbul to be full of wonderful surprises. There are plenty of 'hidden gems' in this Turkish city such as watching the sunset on the Galata Bridge. Of course, there is the extremely famous Blue Mosque which is the perfect place for taking those holiday snaps. Pop over to Prince's Islands for the day and you can take a horse-drawn carriage ride through the town. Istanbul is truly a fairy-tale destination.

3) Budapest
Staying in Europe is the Hungarian capital of Budapest. Although renowned for attracting plenty of romantic travellers, this still does not seem to make it on the top lists of 'honeymoon destinations'. It really should! A sightseeing tour along the Danube will show off the Buda and Pest (female and male) sides of this city that are both so spectacular. There are bath houses and spas galore, meaning that you and your loved one can indulge in some much needed relaxation.

4) Cancun
If Europe doesn't tickle your fancy and you would prefer something hotter, then Cancun is the place for you. White sanded beaches and turquoise waters make up the majority of this Mexican hotspot, with a night-life that would make Ibiza quake in its boots. Those who are still full of life and want to live like teenagers will adore Cancun and everything it has to offer.

5) Reykjavik
Reykjavik in Iceland is truly an unusual romantic getaway, swapping hot weather for something a bit more on the chilly side. This beautiful destination gives you the perfect excuse to snuggle up with your loved one, not that you'd need an excuse! You can ride Viking horses through the snow or just settle down for a drink or two at the World-famous ice bar. Just remember to pack your winter woollies!
