Prony, the country’s superstar python, died of still unidentified cause yesterday, August 14, 2013. Prony was named after her captor, Sofronio Salibay. Prony is a female and was captured on October 21, 1996 in Albuquerque. Prony weighed about 280 kilograms and measured 23 feet. The center of her body was measured at 34 inches.
