Snow falls in Egypt for the first time in over 100 years

A lot of Egyptians did not expect a white Christmas in their country, but that is what they will be getting this year.

Cairo has been changed into a winter wonderland after a historic storm in the Middle East brought an unusual treat to Egypt’s capital: a blanket of powdery, white snow.

In fact, that the Los Angeles Times, citing local news reports, writes that the last recorded snowfall in Cairo was more than 100 years ago.
