The 137- hectare being covered with seagrasses that the local also called “ Coral Garden”. They grow naturally after the 7.2 magnitude earthquake in Bohol. Located in Tangnan, Loon, Bohol.
The coastal area has been declared by DENR as a geological monument which was uplifted after a magnitude 7.2 earthquake hit the province in October 2013 by virtue of DENR Administrative Order (DAO) No. 2015-08. The area was uplifted for 1.2 meters and covers 1.37 square kilometres of coastline and it stretched for 8 kilometers within the towns of Loon and Maribojoc. (Source: www.denr.gov.ph)
