Majorca a Perfect Summer Get Away

When summer time comes, there are only few things that pop our minds up - the sun, the heat, the beach, and the waters. For those many who prefer to go to Asian countries, they go to Phuket in Thailand, Bali in Indonesia or Palawan in the Philippines. These three destinations have one common denominator – really cool beaches which are perfect for a summer get away. 

But for those many that choose Mediterranean trips, there could be lots of choices as well. Let’s take a closer look at Spain. In this land of the Spanish speaking men and women lies the largest island in the Balearic Islands archipelago called Mallorca. The archipelago of Ballearic islands includes such names as Ibiza, Minorca and Formentera which are top holiday destinations. Known for its other name Majorca, Mallorca is located in the Mediterranean Sea and is frequently visited by tourists from the Scandinavian countries and others such as Germany, United Kingdom, Poland and many others.

Visitors can do lots and lots of stuff once they are in the island. They can choose from the varied activities that the island can offer – cycling, hiking, horse-riding, hot-air ballooning, splashing or exploring the underwater of the island, biking around, windsurfing and many others. Like other top island destinations Majorca offers various packages to choose from depending on what inclination the visitors have that range from the common water sports to the most extreme ones.

Of course, I am setting a goal to visit this place some day. For now, I may not have the resources to finance this once in a lifetime treat but I’ll set my mind on it. I’m giving myself 5 years from now. It will take a lot of saving to do but I am more than positive about it. For the meantime, I have to learn the Spanish language first.
