DATES: THE HOLY FRUIT OF ARABIA

Dates have been a staple in the Middle East for thousands of years. Dates trees are believed to begin from around the Persian Gulf and has been cultivated since ancient times from Mesopotamia to prehistoric Egypt, probably as early as 4000 BC. very old Egyptians utilized its crop to be made into palm wine and ate it at the time of yield. There is archaeological clues of designated day cultivation in eastern Arabia in the year 6000 BC.

Date, a fruit cultivated extensively throughout the world in warm, dry districts, is one of the major fruits discovered in Saudi Arabia. The diverse delicacies that brings out of it are actually astounding. cookies, wafers, chocolates and other candies, pickles and vinegar are a few of them. Date topped up cookies called Mamoul, a Middle Eastern cookies, is conventionally filled with pitted dates or date pastes.

Date Fruit is one of my favorite fruit ... sabi nga nila nakadagdag init sa katawan hihihi. If you happen to be in Saudi Arabia don't forget and try to eat the Date Fruit or Rotap.
