Liliw Gat Tayaw Tsinelas Festival in Liliw, Laguna

It was one Saturday when I began my journey of traveling to Liliw, Laguna.
The Municipality of Liliw's Gat Tayaw Tsinelas Festival is a yearly celebrated festival held during the last week of April. Based from its name, this celebration exhibits the essential business of the said "Footwear Capital of Laguna".  Liliw Gat Tayaw Tsinelas Festival highlights the town's signature product the LILIW-made Tsinelas. This year's series of events marks the annual fair's 18th year. So I got a chance to witness a part of festivity.

Gat Tayaw Street
This is the central street of the town where the Municipal Hall seats and the various stalls and factories of slippers are located.  Thus, the shopping district as well.

Not only was Gat Tayaw Street a haven to shoppers; the hundreds of floating colorful umbrellas above a street.

Liliw Church
Liliw's Centuries old church. The St. John the Baptist Church was built in 1605. It's popular for its fiery orange facade build from mud bricks.
