Mt. Hapunang Banoi

haponang baboy
Last January 24, 2015, I was here with Mark, Jeffrey, Roy, Jane and Raquel. Mount Haponang Baboy / Mt. Banoi  is a 1,514 ft / 462 m mountain peak near Rodriguez, Rizal, Philippines. Based on peakery data, it ranks as the 19th highest mountain in Rizal and the 1344th highest mountain in Philippines.

We met up Roy and Mark and had breakfast at Jollibee in Cubao.I'm not a big breakfast person but I had to load up. We left in Cubao at around 5:15 going to Eastwood Subdivision front area (mini stop store) to meet Jeffrey, Jane and Raquel and we arrived at the jump-off point Wawa Dam at around 6:00 am.

By 6:30 am we started climb. As we start the trek, we were welcome by a rocky trail and each step is getting harder since there is no established trail yet so going up and down is very challenging.

Actually, It was deathifying experiences. You need to bring gloves and wear footwear as the rocks are very sharp. About 90% the trail are rocks and requires scrambling, rock climbing and bouldering.
