Climbing at Mount Pamitinan

with Jeffrey, Majimen, Raquel and Mark
Last February 07, 2015, I was here with Mark, Jeffrey, Majimen, and Raquel. Mount Pamitian is a 1,081 ft / 330 m mountain peak near Rodriguez, Rizal, Philippines. Based on peakery data, it ranks as the 24th highest mountain in Rizal and the 1635th highest mountain in Philippines.

As usual I met Mark at Jollibee in Cubao and had quick breakfast.  We left in Cubao at around 5:45 going to Eastwood Subdivision front area (mini stop store) to meet Jeffrey, Majimen and Raquel and we arrived at the jump-off point Wawa Dam at around 7:00 am.

By 7:15 am we started climb. As we start the trek, we were welcome by a rocky trail and each step is getting harder. After an hour of ascending, we finally achieve the almost halfway mark.

After a quick rest the final half of the climb was different for it was more of bouldering but this is easier compare to Mt. Haponang Banoi. This was the part where all of us where more cautious. The trail changed and getting harder and dangerous. There are some areas that required us to rock climb and the rocks we are stepping became sharp. You need to bring gloves and wear footwear as the rocks are very sharp. About 70% the trail are rocks and requires  rock climbing and bouldering.
The Summit

YES! we made it to the Mt. Pamitinan Summit around 9:30 am. The summit was dangerously and has only a small area it can only accommodate few people but it offered a breathtaking scenic views and felt accomplished climbing another mountain. The view of the different mountains near Mt. Pamitinan made me realized that there are still more to be climb and discover.
