My 5th mountaineering experience was at Mount Ayaas. Last February 01, 2015, I was here with Mark and Jeffrey. Mount Ayaas is a 1,859 ft / 567 m mountain peak in Rodriguez, Rizal, Philippines. Based on peakery data, it ranks as the 14th highest mountain in Rizal and the 1137th highest mountain in Philippines.
We met up Mark again in Farmers, Cubao and had breakfast at Jollibee. We left in Cubao at around 5:15 going to Eastwood Subdivision front area (mini stop store) to meet Jeffrey and we arrived at the jump-off point Wawa Dam at around 6:30 am and met the Guide, Emman.
And so, the climb begins..............
The trail is easy especially at the starting point and passing the streams called “CARUGO” but some parts are confusing so hiring a guide is a must. After few minutes of rest, we resumed the climb. This time, it was harder since the slopes were way steeper, but yet, the nature's view just took away all the tiredness. The breathtaking scenic view, encompassing the nearest peaks are Mount Haponang Baboy and Mount Pamitinan.
